Rasaki and Pelumi attended junior secondary school at Ebute-Meta, far from the water slum. They had to row their boat to the edge of the slum, disembarked and took public transportation from there to school.
As they navigated this new challenge with a cultural shock, different from what they had experienced at their school at the Makoko Water Slum, their friendship deepened.
